I have felt the site has outgrown its original purpose. That being said in order to support the purpose of providing excellent design ideas, sample ui’s, and web app projects I’ve changed the name. The new name will now be uidesignguide.com. The old domain will work and stay active...

Yes I know I’m a day behind, but to truly get the best perspective out I needed time to reflect. Day 3 was interesting. To start of with was the change with time. Move one hour ahead and what watch what happens to those unfortunante souls that stayed up late. They missed out on a tremendous...

The day started with a glimpse into accessibility. The class was really basic and there were only 1 or 2 things that I picked up overall. I think what we wanted to here more about was guidelines and instead we found out more about the people and the issues they face. THere is nothing wrong with...

Slept terrible last night so going to grab the starbucks. Today is the first full day. There are ton of events going on and as usual so many at the same time. The schedule online at sxsw.com is really hard to use. I came across this site that manages the SXSW schedule in a unique and highly...

There were only a few book discussions today. The first one really touched on some principles regarding social reputation and managing social reps online. Since these were simply book discussions the conversation never really answerd any questions. It’s kind of like you have to buy the book...

New features almost always seem to win versus making a new product better simply by improving the usability of an application. Think of it like Jenga.... Feb 15th, 2008 | no responses

Twitter is a great way to share new and exciting resources with all our viewers. Each day I provide links and commentary on all things UI. You can find UI resources, UI design examples, new techniques, and a lot more by Following @UIDESIGNGUIDE on Twitter.

The idea for this design blog first came about two years ago at SXSW Interactive.

Currently UI Design guide is in its fourth redesign. This site takes quite a bit of time to maintain as well as write the content. Just like UI Design this site is a passion that keeps evolving.

Inside, I cover articles on many topics icluding: lessons, prototyping methods, agile UX methods, design reviews, design challenges, application features, and of course design experiences, just to name a few.

With all the blogs out there you may be asking yourself who are you to give advice? That's a fair question. If you have a moment feel free to read about my design history.
